Accreditation Matters

When selecting the school that will prepare you for your future career there are a number of things you should do. First and foremost - visit - visit - visit! Get a feel for the environment, the program and the staff and students. You will be spending a great deal of time there - make sure it is what you want. Ask questions. Close and convenient is not the most important quality for a school. We have many students that commute over an hour each way, each day! For them the quality is worth the drive.

Kaye's Beauty College has been accredited by the National Accrediting Commission of Cosmetology Arts and Sciences (NACCAS) since 1986. We are dedicated to providing you with the most comprehensive education available. While we are thorough in preparing you for your state licensing exam; we strive to offer you much, much more.

*What is accreditation?
Accreditation means that a school has met national standards of educational performance which have been established by an impartial non-government agency. Through the years, accreditation has been the most authoritative and reliable index of a school's concern for integrity toward its students and quality education.

A school becomes accredited by formal action of the Commission. It bases its action on information submitted by the school and the reports of a specially appointed inspection team which has visited the school and evaluated it according to established standards.

Accreditation does not mean that all schools are the same. It does mean that they conform to a common set of standards established by the Commission. Schools are re-evaluated at least once every five years. Continuation of accreditation depends on maintenance of the established standards. *Information regarding accreditation and NACCAS was obtained from their website Please visit their site if you would like more information.

Becoming an accredited school is costly and time consuming. Literally hundreds of man-hours go into the initial process and hundreds more go into maintaining that elite status! We have committed ourselves to maintaining the highest standards of education for YOU! You are the reason we exist and we want to do our best for you. Many other schools are not accredited. You should know the importance of accreditation to the overall quality of education that you will receive. Remember, at Kaye's we know you're worth the extra effort and you always will be. If you want to be the best, you should train with the best!

NACCAS 94% Licensing Rate
100% Pass Rate at State Board

Kaye's has been providing quality education for 30 years. Our methods are tried and true. We know what is important for your success not only for your State Board examination, but for your career!

Our graduates are recruited by the best salons, and we have a 97% employment placement rate, not just in Indiana, but nationally as well. We have graduates working in top salons in New York, Chicago, Scottsdale, Vail, and San Diego to name a few. In San Diego we have two graduates working with Robert Cromeans, the Artistic Director for Paul Mitchell. One of these young women is Robert's on stage assistant in addition to working in his salon.

Our years of experience set us apart - we know what works and what doesn't. Our staff has a combined total of one hundred and ninety-six years of experience - not just teaching but also working in the field doing what you want to do. We work as a team to provide you with the tools you need to succeed. We combine age and experience, youth and enthusiasm, with as much advanced education as possible. At Kaye's we invest heavily in advanced education for our staff - not just on teaching methods for the information found in your textbooks but actual advanced education that is directly connected to your future success in a salon. We also have monthly in-house workshops that focus on teamwork, teaching methods, and fundamental teaching principles such as Bloom's Taxonomy of Higher Level Thinking Skills. This year alone our teaching staff has accumulated over 1100 hours in advanced education. We work hard to stay "at the top of our game" for you!

We average almost one hundred hours of continuing education each when NACCAS requires only twelve hours per year.

We have you working extensively with boutique brands - the type of products used in high end salons - it matters to us that you work with the best!
Rely on experience - it matters!!
